Who We Are

We are a group of professionals who studied law internationally. NCA Network is open to all students and lawyers living in Canada who are pursuing or have an international degree and will be based in Toronto, Ontario.

Our Purpose

We aim to promote professional connections with past NCA alumni who now hold successful legal practices and foster meaningful mentor relationships for NCA students.

Kim Gale

Founder

Kim is lawyer and principal of Gale Law (galelaw.ca) practicing estate litigation in Toronto. She studied law at the City, University of London where she founded a networking group for students from Canada. She worked in the UK at an internationally recognized Bay Street firm.

Through her lonely and frustrating experience in the licensing process, she is deeply passionate about fostering a community for international law students in Toronto.

She is also passionate about making law easy to understand in her blog lawformillennials.com.

Jessica Campolucci

Events Manager

Jessica Campolucci is a recent Canadian graduate who obtained her degree in Business Management from York University in Toronto, ON in May of 2020.

Currently, Jessica is working as a legal assistant at Gale Law in Downtown Toronto, which has sparked her interest and passions in the field of law. She is now a 2023 candidate in the Paralegal Education program from Humber College in Toronto, ON.

During Jessica’s time at York University, she took an active role in leading several teams and organizations, including the York Lions Dance Club, Organization of Latin American Students (OLAS), and participated in the York Lions Dance Energy company team.

Lilah “Lily” Vassilenko

Social Media and Marketing Manager

Lilah “Lily” Vassilenko is a current law student pursing both her Canadian and American J.D simultaneously through the combined program offered by the University of Windsor and University of Detroit Mercy. She is an active member within her law school, with her being a part of Windsor Law’s Inaugural Transnational Moot Committee and Formal Committee for instance. She is currently in her second year of law school.

Prior to attending law school, Lily completed her honours undergraduate degree in Psychology at Ryerson University. While at Ryerson University, Lily was a research assistant at the Brain and Early Experience Lab (BEE), a psychology laboratory that focused on infant developmental research through brain-based methods. Here, she completed her thesis and contributed to two academic publications

Palak Mahajan

Events and Outreach Coordinator

Palak is an internationally trained lawyer with over 5 years of experience in Disputes Resolution and Litigation in India. She is registered with the Bar Council of India since 2016 and is currently an L.L.M. Candidate at Osgoode Hall Law School. Palak is expected to receive her NCA Certificate of Qualification by September 2022 and hopes to be called to the Bar by early 2023. She is a volunteer with the NCA Network and the L.L.M Representative of Asian Law Students Association (ALSA) of Osgoode 2022-2023.

In India, Palak has primarily practised before the Supreme Court. Her practice involved drafting, arguing and assisting prominent senior lawyers in a wide range of constitutional, civil and criminal matters. Palak is also very passionate about pro-bono and legal aid cases and spent considerable time handling those independently.
