We are a group of professionals who studied law internationally. NCA Network is open to all students and lawyers living in Canada who are pursuing or have an international degree and will be based in Toronto, Ontario.

Our Purpose

We aim to promote professional connections with past NCA alumni who now hold successful legal practices and foster meaningful mentor relationships for NCA students.

KIM GALE

Founder of NCA Network/Co-Director/Host of Legally Abroad Podcast

Kim is lawyer and principal of Gale Law (galelaw.ca) practicing estate litigation in Toronto. Kim is also a trained mediator with a LL.M. in Dispute Resolution from Osgoode Hall Law School. She studied law at the City, University of London where she founded a networking group for students from Canada. She worked in the UK at an internationally recognized Bay Street firm.
Through her lonely and frustrating experience in the licensing process, she is deeply passionate about fostering a community for international law students in Toronto.

SAMANTHA ALLAN

Co-Director/Host of Legally Abroad Podcast

Samantha earned a Bachelor of Management at the University of Lethbridge (Distinction) and graduated with a Bachelor of Laws (Honours) from Sussex University in Brighton, England. Samantha is currently pursuing her Master of Laws, focusing on Business Law, through Osgoode University.

Samantha articled for a top boutique civil litigation firm in Toronto. She realized that her passion lies with Family Law and she returned to her hometown of Calgary to start her family law practice. Prior to pursuing a career in law, Samantha managed Aboriginal Environmental Training programs for a Calgary based national non-profit for several years.

JESSICA CAMPOLUCCI

Co-Director/Events Manager

Jessica is a Canadian graduate who obtained her degree in Business Management from York University in Toronto, ON and is a 2023 graduate of the Paralegal Education program at Humber College in Toronto, ON. She is currently a Licensed Paralegal with the Law Society of Ontario. Jessica has been a part of Gale Law since 2020 and assists on all issues related to estates. She also has assisted clients in matters before the Small Claims Court and administrative tribunals.

Outside of Gale Law, Jessica is a co-director and events manager at NCA Network, a diversity and inclusion group based in Toronto, ON. With NCA Network, she aids in hosting a variety of events for students looking for guidance and networking opportunities in the legal field.

PALAK MAHAJAN

Events and Outreach Coordinator

Palak is a dual licensed lawyer (India & Ontario) with over 5 years of experience in Disputes Resolution and Litigation in India and over 1 year of experience in Estate Litigation in Ontario. She has been registered with the Bar Council of India since 2016 and has completed her L.L.M. from Osgoode Hall Law School, York University. Palak was called to the Bar in Ontario in October, 2023.

Harsha is an internationally trained lawyer from India. She has a compassionate and empathetic approach in her dealings with her clients. She pursued an LLM in International Business Law from Osgoode Professional Development.
Harsha is aware of the trials and tribulations faced by ITL’s. She genuinely desires to help others like her navigate their path during the lawyer licensing process in Ontario. Therefore, she is committed to spreading awareness and contributing to her ability to help those who are seeking guidance through the NCA Network.

KHAYAL MAMMADOV

Khayal, a seasoned legal professional, transitioned from a civil law jurisdiction to qualify and practice law in Ontario, Canada, in 2023.
With a robust decade-plus background in in-house legal roles within the oil and gas industry, Khayal now channels expertise into complex infrastructure projects. Having successfully navigated the Ontario licensing process, he is passionate about supporting others on a similar journey. An advocate for sharing insights, he offers valuable tips on licensing, LLM options, articling, bar exams, and the unique challenges faced by new immigrants. Khayal also aims to share practical advice on balancing life responsibilities while pursuing a legal career in a new environment.

BHISHM KHANNA

Bhishm Khanna, an internationally trained lawyer from India, is currently an Articling Student at Pyzer Criminal Lawyers. He pursued his foundational legal education at one of India’s premier law schools. He is currently pursuing Master of Laws (LLM) at Osgoode Hall Law School. Bhishm has contributed to the legal field through research and publications. He was recognized as an Honorary Researcher in the ‘Committee for Reforms in Criminal Laws’, established by the Government of India. This appointment allowed him to drive positive change and shape the legal landscape.

MARTYK SIEK

Volunteer - Mentor Program

Martyn is an Associate at Workly Law, where he specializes in all aspects of employment law. With extensive experience advising both employers and employees, Martyn provides strategic counsel on a wide range of workplace matters, including employment contracts, workplace policies, discrimination claims, and constructive and wrongful dismissal claims. Before joining Workly Law, Martyn gained significant experience in corporate, municipal, and environmental law. Martyn holds an Honours Bachelor of Science (H.BSc.) in Integrated Sciences from McMaster University and an LLB from the University of Birmingham.

RENEE JIANG

Volunteer - Podcasts

Renee Jiang is a civil litigation associate at Henein Hutchison Robitaille LLP. Prior to joining HHR, Renee lived and worked in New York City, where she had a previous career in arts and culture marketing. She graduated from Fordham University School of Law with a J.D. and spent two years at a labor and employment boutique. Renee’s writings on lawyer professional responsibility and anti-discrimination law have won multiple writing competitions, been presented at prestigious conferences, and published in various journals. Renee holds an M.A. from New York University and a B.A. from the University of Huddersfield and is fluent in Mandarin Chinese. Renee is admitted in New York and Ontario. 

GEORGE MARGIE

George graduated from the University of Kent Law School in 2021 and was called to the Ontario Bar in 2024. George is currently an Associate Lawyer at Hummingbird Lawyers LLP, specializing in Family Law.

George is passionate about building connections and fostering growth within the legal community. They joined NCA Network to support and collaborate with fellow professionals navigating the accreditation process, sharing resources, and empowering others to achieve their goals.

ELENA KOZACHEK

Volunteer - Events

 Elena Kozachek is an articling student at Marciano Beckenstein LLP, specializing in tax and corporate law, litigation, and corporate restructuring. Before relocating to Canada, she successfully operated her own law firm in Ukraine, where she gained extensive experience in corporate, commercial and tax law and litigation. Elena has argued cases before the courts of appeal and the Supreme Court in Ukraine, and completed training on making successful applications to the European Court of Human Rights in Strasbourg, France. After moving to Canada, Elena pursued her LLM at Osgoode Hall Law School and completed the NCA requirements.  Beyond her legal career, Elena is an equestrian and a licensed private pilot. “Flying and riding remind me to stay grounded yet dream big,” she says, encapsulating her approach to life and career.

EVANS NGONDO

Volunteer - Podcasts

Evans Ngondo was called to the bar in 2022. He practices civil litigation at a boutique firm in Toronto, focusing on commercial disputes and professional negligence.

Evans holds an LLM from Osgoode Hall Law School, as well as a BA and LLB from the University of Pretoria in South Africa. Before moving to Toronto, he gained valuable experience handling complex commercial matters at firms in Johannesburg and Pretoria.

NATALIA BERNAL GARCIA

Volunteer - Events

Natalia earned her LLB from the University of Los Andes in Bogotá, Colombia. She obtained her first LLM from the London School of Economics and Political Science, where she received a merit distinction. She completed her second LLM at Osgoode Hall Law School in Canadian Common Law. Additionally, she studied philosophy and political science at Viterbo University, USA, where she was an Honours student. Natalia practiced law for four years in Colombia at a global law firm in the M&A group. She also worked as a lawyer in the International Treaty Section at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Colombia. She interned at the United Nations Office Against Drug and Crime, and served as a delegate at the United Nations Conference on Sustainable Development (RIO+20). Additionally, she was a Legal Researcher for the Legal Clinic in Prisons, providing legal assistance to inmates and contributing to an amicus brief for the Interamerican Court of Human Rights. She co-authored two publications in International Criminal Law and contributed to a chapter on social mobility migration in Latin America, which was published by Palgrave. 

JESSICA HOMER

Volunteer - Events

Jessica is an aspiring lawyer having obtained her LLB from the University of Law in London, England. She is currently a NCA candidate pursuing her GPLLM at the University of Toronto as she seeks to become licensed to practice law in Ontario.

Prior to law school, Jessica graduated from the University of British Columbia’s Sauder School of Business with a Bachelor of Commerce with Honours.

Volunteer - Events

Manmeet is a Law Clerk at the Ministry of the Attorney General, within the Civil Division. After graduating from the University of Waterloo with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science, she obtained her LL. B from the University of Birmingham. She has also gained valuable experience working at a boutique firm in Toronto, where she handled civil litigation, wills and estates, personal injury, and real estate matters. After returning to Canada, Manmeet chose to self-study and successfully complete the NCA requirements. She is currently completing the LSO licensing requirements with hopes of practicing as a lawyer in litigation.
